Notes

Characterised by the fruiting body being cylindrical, upright, often pointed, simple or branched, flesh zoned in transverse section. Saprobic on wood. Five species have been reported from New Zealand.

Calocera guepinioides
One of the small species in the genus.

Calocera fusca
The largest of the New Zealand species, often more than 2.5 cm high, compared with other species which rarely exceed 1 cm.
