Notes

Small puffballs with the globose spore case raised on a discrete, narrow stalk.
There are 5 species reported for New Zealand, usually found on sand dunes.

Tulostoma simulans	Found on coastal sand dunes, has a distinct stalk which elevates the spore case above the drifting sand allowing the spores to be dispersed through the small apical pore. Showing distinct stalk and small apical pore.
