Fruiting bodies small and with lower poroid surface. The most distinctive of three NZ species of Gloeoporus is the all-white G. phlebophorus.

Gloeoporus phlebophorus

Occurs typically in clusters on fallen wood, pure white on both smooth upper and porioid lower surface; pores tiny are barely distinguishable with naked eye. Fruiting bodies individually up to 3.5 cm across. Attached to wood by lateral or dorsal point
